Ishtar, called the great mother, is the Mesopotamian goddess of both sexuality and warfare. She embodies two opposing elemental energies: fire and water. Her desire to give and nurture, the water element, is symbolized in this pendant by the wave-like pattern of the wire and the Mediterranean blue of the faceted Chalcedony stone.
Garnet represents the power and passion of Ishtar, as she is often associated with the lioness and her fierce nature.
The double-terminated quartz signifies a balanced flow of these opposing energies, of male and female forces.
Pendant is available on its own, on a sterling snake chain, or on a black leather cord with handmade clasp. Please choose your preferred material and length.
